Golden Oreo Dirt Pudding

In my house, we love a good dessert with Oreos in it. A few years ago, we went to a cookout and a friend of mine made this delicious Golden Oreo Dirt Pudding. This recipe is super simple, but so tasty with cream cheese, pudding, whipped cream, and delicious Golden Oreos. I’ve made other varieties of Oreo Dirt Pudding on my website too like this Birthday Cake Oreo Dirt Pudding, this delicious Christmas Oreo Dirt Pudding, we live for this Chocolate Mint Oreo Dirt Pudding, and of course you can’t go without the Pumpkin Oreo Dirt Pudding! You can either make it into a large shareable dessert, like the trifle I made below, or you can scoop them into individual cups for people to enjoy! They all taste the same and you can enjoy the recipe with your choice of Oreos and pudding combinations!

How to Make Golden Oreo Dirt Pudding

The ingredients for this dessert are super simple. All  you need is cream cheese (best if at room temperature), whipped topping (you can use Cool Whip or try your hand at Homemade Whipped Cream), pudding mix, and oreos! You can break the Oreos up or you can keep them whole to make a prettier version of the dessert, depending on the look you’re going for. For this dessert, I broke them up, but no matter how you choose to do it, the dessert tastes the same either way!

Once you have the cream cheese, whipped topping, milk, and pudding combined, you simply layer into in your trifle dish or your individual serving dishes. You can add as many or as few layers as you like! The whole dessert is SUPER tasty. I brought it into my office to share with my coworkers and everyone has had wonderful things to say about it. I suggest chilling it overnight in the fridge because it definitely tastes best once it’s set up and thick.

This will also feed quite a crowd, so if you are feeding a smaller group, consider halving the recipe too. Enjoy!!

How to store Golden Oreo Pudding

Just place a thin layer of foil or plastic wrap over top and store in the fridge. It’s good in the fridge for 2-3 days, but after that the cookies start to get too soggy to fully enjoy the dessert.

Can you freeze this dessert?

You can freeze the pudding/whipped topping mixture, but I’d do so without the Oreos. For example, you could make the full recipe and then put half in the freezer for next time and only serve half this time. I have done that before and it tastes just as good!

How many people does this dessert feed?

I’d say that it will easily serve a dozen people, if not more!

Ingredients

  

• 2 large boxes, vanilla pudding mix
• 2 bars cream cheese
• 2 tubs Cool Whip, defrosted
• 4 cups milk
• 2 packages Golden Oreos, crushed

Instructions

 

• Using a mixer, mix up your cream cheese and Cool Whip first, then add in your pudding and milk.
• Crush 1 package of Oreos at the bottom of your bowl...or in my case I crushed a layer at the bottom, added some pudding, added some more crushed oreos, then more pudding, then topped it off with the rest of the oreos.
• If you have a large bowl you can determine the order of the oreo to pudding ratio.
